Concrete Canoe is a design competition hosted by ASCE annually where students design, fabricate, and race canoes constructed out of concrete. Northwestern is a member of the Great Lakes Regional Conference with other schools including University of Wisconson - Madison, University of Illinois - Urbana Champagne, and Notre Dame.

 

I've served as the project manager for Concrete Canoe for the past three years and was a member of the founding team my freshman year. Each year the canoes have come with their own unique problems and the team and I have learned from each problem and improved our canoes each year.
